Which PPC Search Engine?

All pay per click engines are not the same, and some are definitely better than others. Your success advertising with pay per click will greatly depend upon which pay per click search engine you choose to use for advertising.

Here is a quick rundown on the major pay per click search engines, the directories and listing generated from these pay per click search engines, and how much you can expect to pay to market with them:

Overture is probably the most effective pay per click search engine available. They provide results for Yahoo, HotBot, Netscape, Lycos, AltaVista, Ask Jeeves, Iwon. Overture has a minimum bid of $ .10, higher than some, but the advertiser tools they have available for smooth campaign management make the higher minimum bid worth it.

Google AdWords is free to join and has a minimum bid amoung of only $ .05. AdWords ads will appear in AOL, Netscape, NYTimes, Ask Jeeves, About.com and many other wide reaching search portals.

FindWhat will activate an account quickly and efficiently for $25. FindWhat furnishes results for Search.com, Excite, Webcrawler, MetaCrawler, Dogpile and more. While they have slightly smaller reach than Overture and Google, FindWhat is the next best PPC resource for getting your ads to a large audience.

Enhance Interactive costs $50 to start an account, and ads in Enhance will reach roughly 50% of Internet users through their partner portals. Enhance's keyword categories are less diluted than it's larger ppc engine counterparts so advertisers can still get top billing for lower bids.
